The holiday season is upon us, and once again StorageMart locations in the Greater Toronto Area are acting as drop-off points for donations to Uncle Neil’s Toy Mountain.
Beginning in 2005, the Uncle Neil Toy Mountain collects donations of new toys in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Then, on the final night of the drive, all the toys are brought together in one big pile as part of the celebration to mark the donation drive and usher in the final days before Christmas. Following the party the toys are handed over to the local chapter of the Salvation Army, who distributes them to less fortunate children in the Toronto Metro Area.
Arts, Crafts, Photos and More
This year’s celebration takes place on Sunday, December 14 at the Birchmount. The family-friendly event will include a photo opportunity with Santa Claus, arts & crafts, cookie decorating, face-painting and lots of live music.
The goal is to beat last year’s record total of more than 32,000 toys collected, and StorageMart is ready to help make that happen. Donations can be dropped off during regular office hours at any StorageMart location in the Greater Toronto Area.
Thank you for thinking of less fortunate families and children this holiday season. We’ve got a feeling we’ll help Uncle Neil grow this year’s Toy Mountain by leaps and bounds over last year’s record drive.
