Columbia, Missouri – March 16, 2015 – May is Foster Care Awareness Month. For the second consecutive year, the Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association (CMFCAA) is raising awareness of Missouri’s foster children with the “Shoe In for Foster Care” campaign by collecting donated shoes and lining them up along the Capitol Lawn outside the Missouri State Capitol Building in Jefferson City, MO from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
CMFCAA’s goal is to top last year’s total of 4,800 pairs of collected shoes.
CMFCAA staff members will be on hand at the event to promote the organization and answer questions about how best to support child foster care programs in Mid-Missouri.
